It's About Creating a Community

It is good to be reminded every once in a while of the basic principals of retention.

In the April issue CBI Magazine, they have a great, short interview with Michael McDonald, provincial director of fitness services and member experience for World Helth Clubs / International Fitness Holdings, Inc.

Mr McDonald reminds us that the majority of people who join fitness facilities do not "love" working out and it is this group that clubs need to spend time and energy building a connection.åÊ Since the first 90 days of a membership is critical - focusing on this group and building a sense of community will result in a healthier club.
